What we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run Crewtera and to reply when you ask for a demo.
- We don't sell personal information and we don't share it for advertising.
- Companies using Crewtera own the information they put in it. For that information, we work on their behalf.

This policy covers crewtera.com (the "Site") and the Crewtera app (the "Service"), provided by Crewtera Inc. ("Crewtera", "we").
When you visit the Site or ask for a demo
What you give us
When you book a demo: your name, company, work email, phone (optional), your role, trade, team size, anything you write in the notes, and the time you pick.
Collected automatically
Basic technical information like your browser, device, pages viewed and approximate location from your IP address, used to keep the Site working and secure and to understand which pages help people. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To schedule and hold your demo, and to follow up about it.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To keep the Site secure and working.
If you'd rather not hear from us after a demo, just reply "stop" or email us and we'll stop.
When your company uses Crewtera
Companies using Crewtera put information into it to run their business. That company is in charge of its information, and we process it on their behalf and under their instructions. This includes:

If you're a customer of a company that uses Crewtera and you have a question about your information, please contact that company first; we'll help them respond.
Location. Crewtera shows job addresses on maps. Live crew location tracking is a planned feature; before it is turned on we'll update this policy and companies will choose whether to use it.
Who we share information with
Only with service providers that help us run Crewtera, under contracts that limit their use of it, and only as much as they need:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (and the new owner would follow this policy).
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Cookies
The app uses cookies that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember settings like light or dark mode. The Site doesn't use advertising cookies. If we add analytics that needs cookies, we'll update this section first.
How long we keep it
- Demo requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer.
- Company data in the app: for as long as the company's subscription is active, then up to 30 days for the company to request an export, after which it's deleted from the live Service. Backups clear on their normal schedule.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, each company's data is kept separate from every other company's, and sign-ins are protected. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify affected companies and people as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you. Email hello@crewtera.com and we'll respond within 30 days (or faster where the law requires). Depending on where you live, for example California, you may have additional rights; we won't treat you differently for using them.
For information a company put into Crewtera, we'll pass your request to that company, since they decide what happens to it.
Children
Crewtera is a business tool and isn't meant for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, for customers, let company admins know by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
